Georgia's eastern seaboard has several parks and preserves, woodland and wildlife areas, wetlands and waterways that are ideal for fishing, hunting, camping and other outdoor activities.

It is very rare for daily high temperatures to drop below 32°F.

Precipitation along the coast averages more than 50 inches per year. The dry season arrives during the winter months, whereas summer brings about 20 inches of rain. Snowfall along the Georgia coast is rare. When snow does fall, total amounts decrease from northeast to southwest.
