Florapharm Tea USA

German-based Florapharm Tea selects Liberty County

Florapharm Tea - USA, a German-based manufacturer and distributor of over 400 varieties of tea, chose Liberty County in 2011 as the new location for its U.S. distribution center (DC). The company came to Liberty County with projections of 50 employees in the first five years of the operation, with the potential to expand both the facility and employment opportunities in the future. Florapharm joins several other internationally-based companies in Liberty County, to include another German-headquartered company, Hugo Boss, which has a 330,000 SF DC in the community.

In 2015, the company renewed its lease in the facility and employed 20. Florapharm cites Liberty County's proximity to the Port of Savannah and the support they received from the LCDA as key reasons for selecting the community. In addition, the "Heroes for Hire," soldiers exiting the Army at Fort Stewart and entering the civilian workforce in the area, were also instrumental in the company choosing Liberty County.
